£6 Tax for Broadband

So the Government wants to tax us on our telephone lines £6 per year so that they can give the money to yet another large organisation to enable them to expand the broadband network to all areas of the country. Why the hell should I pay for somebody else's broadband if you want broadband pay for it the same as I do. If you cant get it over the phone line use a satellite service or if you are in a village set up your own Wimax system, many places have!, but dont ask me to pay! Of course you could always go back to dial up access or even 3G mobile access if you can get a signal. My point is it does not have to come over the telephone line there are many other ways to have access to the internet.

I know many people who don't have broadband *gasp* so why should they pay because they have a phone line? is that fair? NO I don't think so!

As we all know we will get taxed but the money won't go to this project, much the same as our road tax which does not get used for the roads but goes to the Government pot.

So as I see it yet another stealth tax to fleece us of our money. Thin end to the wedge ....yes I think so..

Snouts in the trough

So do any ouf our MP's deserve our support ...I don't think so, they are in politics to feather their own nest and rip the rest of us off. These people are in the top 10% of wage earners in the country and yet we still have to buy their lightbulbs! or pay to maintain their garden or swimming pool.....WOT your wages not for paying for this stuff like us oiks!

We should bloody sack the lot of them. If you or I got caught doing this at work it would be pay back the money here is your P45 and bugger off..so what makes them so special. They are NOT honorable people and have no claim to be called that.

So it just proves the point that they are a load of scheming, deviants only out for their own personal gain. While unemployment has shot up a record amount last month, the highest increase for nearly 30 years, our "good, honest", MP's are voting themselves higher than inflation pay rises, increased expense allowances (which will be scrutinised independently OH YEAH MY BEARD) but all paid for by who? Yes, us, the British tax payer. New Labour? Still on the fiddle and that can also be said for the rest of the parties....there is not one party worth voting for at the next election.

Been a while since I posted "sorry" but now I am back for more GOS rants

Blind leading the Blind!

This year the FSA is increasing the maximum bonus staff can get up to 15% of salary, that’s worth a cool £23m apparently. On top of this they are topping up “out of kilter” salaries by another £10m or so to get them to a competitive level. How can the Government insist that bank employees who have failed don’t get a bonus and in the same breath pay over £30m in bonuses to their own failed employees?

To be perfectly frank, it will always be the case that some financial companies will push the rules to the limit in pursuit of a fast buck. It’s the regulator’s job to ensure that they don’t go too far and make the financial markets unstable. Having completely and utterly failed in this task, they don’t deserve a pay rise any more than the bankers do.

Sigh........and they call me a banker!

Banks paying Bonuses

The banks that have been rescued from collapse are going to pay bonuses ..*WHAT*.. Any other private company that lost that amount of money would be dead these banks are only still here because the Government bailed them out (think you and me paying the debt till we die). Do these bankers live in the real world? Can they not see what devastation they have created across the planet with millions of people becoming unemployed? Where's the newly unemployed bonuses, what screw ups did they make to deserve the difficulties they now have. The bankers short term greed and selfish money grabbing without looking at the long term effects of their actions for everybody else should not go rewarded.

I so far have not been badly effected but I did not get a bonus this year no pay rise is coming my wages have been slightly cut and some benefits have gone but I still have a job..thank goodness..but then I live in the real world and I am just glad and lucky I am still working so I can still pay the never ending bills that just seem to keep going up!.
