Elections 4th June Farce

For me the elections today have been a farce for the following reasons.

1/ Our polling cards did not arrive, when I phoned Spelthorne council they tell me I did not need a card and that all the cards had been hand delivered. So what happened to my card? who has my name and address details!.Somebody could have used my card to vote in my name, when I went to the polling station nobody asked me for ID I just gave them my name and address!.

2/ Polling station position was a state secret had to phone the council again to find out that snippet of information.

3/ I only had information from the Lib Dems and the Conservatives about their policies what about the other candidates?.

4/ MEP's who the hell are they no information from any of them at all.

The whole thing is a public disgrace and our leaders wonder why the masses don't vote, maybe if we knew who was running we could make an educated decision. The establishment should hang its head in shame they could not organise a piss up in a brewery..the whole thing just sucks.

Campaign guff

Well at last I have had some election flyers through my letterbox the usual glossy flyer from the Conservatives, but a very impressive personally addressed letter from the Lib Dems not glossy just an envelope with my name and address with a letter outlining the views of our local candidate.

Well done Mr Beardsmore, Lib Dems, you got my attention unlike the impersonal glossy sheet I got from the other party which is filed under W.

Snow & Global Warming

I hope everybody had fun in the snow I have not seen it like this since I was a kid..so whats that about global warming?
I think people need to read this book then maybe they wont just believe the bull put out by the greens and the Government and see that maybe there is another angle to the global story

The Revenge of Gaia: Earth's Climate Crisis and the Fate of Humanity
by James Lovelock,J. E. Lovelock,Crispin Tickell

The key insight of Gaia Theory is that the entire Earth functions as a single living superorganism, regulating its internal environment much as an animal regulates its body temperature. But according to James Lovelock, the theory's originator, that organism is now sick. It is running a fever born of increased atmospheric greenhouse gases. Earth will adjust to these stresses, but the human race faces a severe test. It is already too late, Lovelock says, to prevent the global climate from "flipping" into an entirely new equilibrium that will threaten civilization as we know it. But we can do much to save humanity. In the tradition of Silent Spring, this is a call to action

Bailing out the Banks

Hows this for an idea, instead of the Government giving the banks yet more money and the fat cats get fatter, they all should have had their P45's anyway in my view, why not just pay off all the credit debt (not mortgages) of the working tax paying members of the community so they have no credit debt. The banks would then have their money the tax payer would have more money in their pocket and would start spending again and everybody would be happy. Its gotta be better than the 2.5% cut in vat which is not worth a light to most people as its only pennies.

The Govenment has already bailed out the banks to the tune of 400 billion and they are still in trouble?? Yet to bail out Joe tax payer would cost 240 billion this looks like a better deal to me.......
