Wot No Brown Wheelie Bin ??

Spelthorne Council have been dishing out brown wheelie bins for garden waste so where is mine?. Am I not posh enough for the Conservative Council?,don't I play golf?, or is this just another bit of Tory spin.
I have tried to reserve a bin but the office seems to be closed and I just get an answer phone...they seem to work what my dad would call Tory Gentleman's hours.
Quoting the local Tory Council rag "intouch", "All Conservative Councils have rejected the Labour government's attempt to introduce waste bin charging, forcing a government U-turn", but if you look below at the Spelthorne Council web page link they quote "Wheelie bins will be charged at an annual rate of £35 and the sacks £25. Payment will be via direct debit and permits will be displayed on bins or sacks." Looks like a charge to me!!!!!
For more info from Spelthorne Council go HERE and see if you can get one...please let me know.

Just click the link for the pdf and download.

Spelthorne Elections 4th June 2009
In three weeks its our local elections so who are our candidates?? where is all the crap you post through my letter box?? are the candidates so complaciant they dont need to canvas votes?? worried about your expenses??How can I vote for somebody when I don't know who you are? what do you stand for?
I have even looked on the party web sites not much info on there, in times gone by I would have been bombarded with information, stopped in the street, had you on my doorstep.
Shame on you all, seems the water is a bit hot at the moment and you are all keeping your head down.

Less Depressing News
Ok I admit it when I get up in the morning I watch tv before going to work, this accompanies my first cup of tea and the first cigarette, plus a few other firsts of the morning. But I do watch the news and weather as I like to keep up to date with whats going on as its useful to know for work.
My problem is the BBC news is sooooo depressing its all doom and gloom credit crunch no money etc etc and does not set me up for the day in the way I would like.
I wont watch GMTV as to me its like watching the Sun newspaper in other words mindless drivel.
So anybody got any ideas? I would like a bit of news but not just the depressing stuff and if it can make me smile even better
. I dont have Sky ( anymore but thats another story ) so normal tv, freeview or freesat only.
